5 Ways to Spend your Sunday

I personally think Sunday mornings are SO important! This is the first time in the whole week where you can sleep in and don't have to set an alarm because of work or uni all week, you can just wake up and chill in bed as long as you want to. I know there is Saturday as well, but I feel like on a Saturday you still wanna get up and make use of the day since you don't have to go to work. So my Saturday's are for errands, grocery shopping, gym, cleaning & laundry.. and all the stuff you don't have time for during the week.
Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I start with a nice bowl of greek yogurt, chia seeds, some coconut flakes and fruit with a little agave juice on top & a cup of tea. Everyone keeps on asking me about Chia seeds and what benefits they have. Let me explain: Chia is a species of flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae, native to central and southern Mexico and Guatemala and has several health benefits such as their massive amount of nutrients with very few calories. They give you a powerful nutritional punch and are one of the superfoods today, so one tablespoon is enough if you mix it with greek yogurt, if not, 2-4 tablespoons are fine and I mix them with soya milk. It depends on your diet how much you eat.
At the moment I'm still trying out Bootea and it has been great so far! It keeps me energised during the day and the night tea helps me to sleep early. You guys know how it is, you wanna sleep early but then you wanna finish the episode you're watching or just can't get off your phone or you just don't wanna sleep because you know Monday is waiting for you, lol.

So here are 5 ways to spend your Sunday, relaxed and productive:

YOGA!

Having a fresh start with a little relaxation and freeing your mind by doing some stretches and yoga. Yoga will have a good impact on how you start your day. Your soul will be free and you only concentrate on yourself and your body.

SUNDAY IS BEAUTY DAY!

Sunday is a no make-up day for me and I'm sure you all use this day to get ready for a new week. That means hair up and face mask on! I've been using the Blue Corn Mask, the Tea Tree Mask and the Honey & Oat mask for the second time and I still love them. These 3 cover all types of problems you might have or that might occur during the year considering different seasons and weather change. The Blue Corn Mask is good for any impurities, we all know what happens after a night out drinking alcohol or after a cheat day, lol. It removes all impurities, dead skin and excess oil and it is a great cleanser. The Tea Tree Mask is a cooling mask and makes your skin soft and tight. It helps remove impurities and absorbs excess oil. The Honey & Oat mask is for me personally a must for cold days since my skin tends to dry out quickly. It moisturises and conditions the skin. Bodyshop did a good job on those 3!
Besides the masks I recently started trying our the REN Eye-creme and . I was really surprised. I have been looking for a good eye-creme for so long and the two in combination do a really good job on my skin. It looks moisturised, fresh and clear and feels really soft.I can only recommend them.

BE PRODUCTIVE!

Don't let a day pass without being a little productive. Do what you love and take time for what you're passionate about. I usually spend my Sunday writing blogposts and being a little creative. I write down to do lists and do some brainstorming for the blog. The Mate Fit Tea helps me concentrate and boosts energy.

GET LOST IN A GOOD BOOK!

Lala Anthony's first book convinced me so much that I just had to get the second one. I like how honest she writes about her life and gives great advice for relationships and career! The Social Media MBA is more work related for me since I'm a Communications Manager, which involves Social Media Marketing and PR, it is a good guide for me. So ditch the dull reads on the weekend and lose yourself in a gripping book. I've read that reading has a lot of health benefits such as improving brain function and reducing stress levels, which is a perfect preparation for the new week.

NETFLIX & CHILL

The term Netflix & Chill was a little abused in my opinion, lol. When I say Netflix & Chill, what I really mean is watching Netflix and chill on my bed. Nothing more or less, lol. I've been recently watching documentaries about fashion and I can only recommend "Dior and I" and Vogues masterpiece "The September Issue". But I know everyone has their fav series these days, I don't even remember how it used to be without all them when I was younger and wasn't interested in none of that. Time flies! My favourite series are The Good Wife, House of DVF, Being Mary Jane and Scandal... Oh and don't let me forget the oh-so-hyped Empire! Besides that, I also watch Love and Hip Hop for some drama, lol, Rosewood and Grey's Anatomy.
Of course my favourite snack can't be left out when watching movies/series - Proper Corn Sweet Coconut & Vanilla is DELICIOUS! Can't get enough of it! Also I'm struggling to drink enough water, so I always try have a full bottle by my side. And for some more detox I got a Naked green smoothie. Most people don't like green smoothies too much but I can promise, this one makes you feel healthy & energised and tastes really nice!

Let me know what you do on a Sunday. Looking forward to your comments!

M O T I V A T I O N

I've been feeling very blessed in these past weeks, not that I haven't before but sometimes work and life takes so much time off you that you don't have time to realise and appreciate certain things. Especially living in London, leaving the house is sometimes overwhelming, especially at peak-time coming back from work. So many people in one place and you can't escape. The first weeks London was just loud and busy to me but I got used to it now and it's a beautiful city! Important is though that you sometimes take a step back from everything and take time for yourself. Even if it's just 1 hour per day, taking time for yourself helps you to process things, relax and concentrate on yourself away from everything going on. Do Yoga, Pilates or just sit down with a cup of tea, coffee... or even a  nice glass of wine ;) I recently started going for a run in the morning before work. It is just so hard to get up but hey.. could be worse, lol. Of course it is hard at first if you're not a morning person but when you get back to have a nice shower and get ready for the day you feel much better. I feel fit, fresh and relived and I start my day with much more energy than going on the tube still being half asleep.
Every morning when I wake up, I am happy for another day, it can either be a good day or a bad day. It all depends on your attitude. Do you want to start a new day with a new and positive attitude, or carry along the load that you went to bed with last night. A positive attitude is the key of success! It can be success in your career, or you can just see it as success that you started your day right.

My motivation to get up every morning are new experiences. No one can ever take those away from you. I love seeing the sunrise knowing that I was blessed with another day. Sunrise means opportunities, experiences, lessons and love to me. Life is too short to be staying home all the time and don't enjoy life! Rise and shine and make the best of each and every day you have. Experiences are not my only motivation though. I'm still in the process of becoming the woman I'm striving to be in the future and what would life be without passion? Getting up & getting money is one thing but getting up & working for your dreams is another thing, a way more important thing. Working for your dreams makes you happy because you know you're working for your future, a better and happy future. I've read this amazing book called "Girlboss" and it is a great inspiration to stay focused for what you want in life. I especially like this quote:

“Abandon anything about your life and habits that might be holding you back. Learn to create your own opportunities. Know that there is no finish line; fortune favors action. Race balls-out toward the extraordinary life that you’ve always dreamed of, or still haven’t had time to dream up. And prepare to have a hell of a lot of fun along the way.”
― Sophia Amoruso#GIRLBOSS

Time is precious and keep striving for what you want to achieve in life. Not everything's gonna go your way but just trust in the process. There will be lessons and blessings in life.
But remember: GOOD VIBES ONLY! Because only this way you have a chance to get where you want to be.

London Fashion Weekend X Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition

Hello my lovely Fashionistas!

Oh yes, you are damn right, I have a second blogpost about #LFW for you :) This month has been so exciting with all these fashion events, new collections, collaborations and the new season. I wish I could just see them all: NY, London, Milano and Paris fashion week.. Sigh! One day though!
Coming to my outfit.. It took quite some time to really choose what's best to wear at fashion week but I finally decided on a classy & chic outfit - I chose an elegant bandeau jumpsuit with a high side split in black and combined it with a peplum faux leather jacket. The killer finish were leopard high heels from Dune London with golden details. This sunny weekend was the perfect opportunity to wear my Celine sunglasses that I recently got. Pictures see below.
Clearly black was my colour on that day, lol, and you can never go wrong with it. What's your favourite colour for a special occasion? Leave a comment!

But this post is not only about my second LFW outfit, it is also about my visit at the Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition, which I visited the same day. I have to say that this was by far the most amazing exhibition I've been to! The exhibition was introduced by showing the new logo on a 3D screen as you can see on the picture below. Brilliant idea!
The multi-sensory exhibit showed us through the new fall collection 2015 (‘Series 1’ for Autumn/Winter 2014 was exhibited in Shanghai and Tokyo and ‘Series 2’ for Spring/Summer 2015 was exhibited between LA, Beijing, Seoul and Rome.) 13 rooms full of excitement! My highlight was the ‘Infinite Show’ where the 50 looks from the collection are projected onto 25 double-sided life-sized screens, which gives visitors a close-up view reminiscent of the front row at their show. I could've just sat there forever and watch the show.
Another eye-catcher was the walk-in wardrobe at the end. I don't think there was one single woman who didn't wish for a wardrobe like that, lol.

I have included some videos for you guys for a real-life experience in case you could't make it yourself.
Hope you enjoyed my posts!

London Fashion Weekend

Hello everybody!!

I hope everyone started off well into the new week after being amazed about what London Fashion Weekend had to offer. New trends, talented designers and fabulous catwalk shows!
I had an amazing time seeing all the designer clothes and sitting in the front row of a catwalk show for the very first time. To be honest, I was excited like a little kid!
I was especially drawn to the trend colour burgundy, just like last fall/winter I'm still in love with it. Also very popular this season is animal print, fur, checked shirts and skirts and everything leather! If you have been following my Instagram you know very well that my style is all about leather/faux leather.
So coming to my outfit. I bought this burgundy-pleated-slinky suit outfit at Prettylittlethings.  I saw it online and was immediately thinking that this is the right outfit for London Fashion Weekend. I love how the wide leg trousers flow and the material is very comfortable. I wore Zara strappy heels with it, even though you weren't really able to see them anyways and my little quilted Mosschino bag.

And of course I took some pictures of the catwalk show for you guys. Every single piece was an eye-catcher but two outfits just blew me away: The black dress you can see in the first picture was my absolute favourite!! It was just so classy and sexy with the very deep V-neck and the combination of a mini and maxi dress, stunning! The second one was the burgundy leather jacket and the ombre maxi skirt teamed up with a burgundy hat. An outfit I would just take like that and put it on. The last picture shows the Maybelline booth. I really had to take a picture of it. It was so nicely decorated with the red roses, a real eye-catcher.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post!

Stay classy!

Love,
Drea xxx
