My Posts Disappeared | How To Grow Your Following On Instagram

Hey guys!

I don't know what's going on with Instagram at the moment but I heard that I was not the only one yesterday, who almost had a heart attack when 200 of my photos just disappeard. Can you imagine?! All the hard work you put in and all the amazing memories of my holidays were just erased from my feed and I was so upset. I tried to contact Instagram but as they don't have a customer service I wasn't very hopeful that they'll fix the issue. I heard that even people's accounts were deleted😱 Imagine!!! After this shock, I woke up this morning and all my pictures were recovered!😌 Listen, this almost gave me a heart attack😂 but then I realised that at the end of the day it is Instagram and if it goes down one day, life still goes on. If something like this happened to your account and you have a solution, please comment below and help a sister out. Lol

Anyways, I've been asked so many questions about blogging, tips & tricks and how I grow my following so I thought I'm gonna put everything in a blog post for everyone to read and hopefully take something away from it.

Engagement is key!

I can't stress enough how important engagement is. We have this saying Germany, which basically says that if you don't put in work, you don't get anything out of it - this could not be any more accurate. If you don't communicate with your audience, why would they bother following you or trying to engage with you?! I know it can be a pain because really if blogging is not your full-time job then you need to find hours in a day to actually do this and it takes way more time than people imagine. My dear followers, if I don't reply to all your comments, I'm deeply sorry and I'll try to catch up! Bare with me!

Follow back

Don't be that girl who has 30k followers and only follows 100 people only because you think you're too cool to follow people back. Just don't, lol✋🏽 I understand if you don't want to follow as many people as you have followers but why not follow your main supporters back?! They love you content and they're the ones who hype your pics - Give them a follow girl/boy!

Follow Friday/ Instagram Story

Shout the people out you like to follow or visit their profile on Instagram stories. If it's a big influencer or just a any person, they might return the favour, which will get you exposure to their followers and if they like you they might give you a follow.

Support each other

In the influencer world it is so important to support each other as there's so much competition out here and people might pretend they want to help you but they actually don't and they only help people in their circle. It's sad but be sure that you and your influencer friends support each other in comments, likes, photo credit or shout outs.

Hashtags

It's good to switch up hashtags on a regular basis to what's trending and is most popular to get your account noticed by as many people as possible. Be careful, if you use the same hashtags over and over again and just copy paste them you can get shadow banned, which means that your post is banned from those hashtags and the won't appear when someone looks for it.

Instagram is trying all kinds of stuff to make us pay for ads by changing their algorithm or getting us shadow banned. Don't give up though - You got this!💪🏽

FLOWER POWER

How can one not love this dress? It ticks all the boxes for me: Flower print, off shoulder, ruffled sleeves & midi lengths! What more can I wish for really?! I bought this dress from SHEIN after watching Patricia Bright's youtube review about them. There were some good and some bad items she bought but I just wanted to see for myself and bought a few items, including this dress. It rather looks like a Zara dress and that's what I liked about the look. I'm absolutely loving the dress, it fits perfectly and it's not see-through, which happens a lot with white/nude coloured clothing. I have to admit, the quality is not the very best but I don't feel uncomfortable wearing it either, so I guess it's fine, especially when it only costs £22. It is well worth the money, believe me.
You can find the dress HERE

Flower Show London || Covent Garden

Everyone who know me, knows that I have a thing for flowers. I have fresh flowers in my home every week and my £3-5 flower bundles from Tesco make me very happy. It just has become a routine as my nan has always been obsessed with flowers and we always went flower shopping together.

The RHS Flower Show Chelsea has been on in London, which is the world's most prestigious flower show that inspires millions through showcasing the best in garden design. Covent Garden is one of the parts that benefits from this event and it is beautifully decorated with a lot of flower deco everywhere. Obviously coming across this flower swing, I had to take some pics as it's just the prefect photo opportunity. People literally queued to take a pic on there, lol. With just a simple flower swing you can make someones day and mine was definitely complete.

I love how ever since I moved to London there's something new to discover every day. It's been a little over two years now and there's still sooo much left to do. My next stop will be the Columbia road flower market, which is a must and dream for every flower-lover.

The floral Blazer I've been dreaming of...

Do you know the feeling when you go into the shop and you know you can't live without this piece of clothing? That's how I felt about this floral blazer... Not that life wouldn't go on, lol, but I've been wanting a jacket like that for a good while and I actually wanted it in combination with the matching trousers but in this case I just didn't like the trousers so I just went for the blazer. Question number one was: What do I wear it with? It couldn't have been easier in this case to be honest. All the black clothing I wear on a daily basis which make probably 70% of my wardrobe go perfectly with a colourful blazer. Black dresses, black skirts, black trousers, black shorts, anything you can think of really... I feel like I'm going to wear this blazer as much as I can and y'all are going to hate seeing it on my IG over and over again just like my ripped denim jacket🙈😂 Sorry not sorry!

I wore this blazer to the We Love Brunch event at the Mondrian Hotel - Rumpus room, which is an amazing hotel and their interior design is on point! It was a day party so it was a bit difficult to decide between that typical dress or mix things up a little. On my way there I felt a little overdressed but as soon as I got there I fit in perfectly. I was actually going to wear the blazer buttoned up without anything underneath but I felt a little naked so I chose a lace Bralet I hadn't worn in years and it just completed the whole look. As I said, you can dress it up or down, there are not limits as the blazer is quite a flexible piece considering that it's very colourful. I'm obsessed with it and you'll see me wearing it loads more.

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend!💋
