A Vision in Red

If you've been following me for a while, you know how much I shop at Missguided and how much I love their variety of clothing. I've actually been chasing this dress, first I wasn't sure of the lengths, then it was sold out, then it was back in stock but I was waiting for pay day (let's be honest, who else is waiting for pay day refreshing the page 24\7 ๐Ÿ™„), then it was sold out in my size again and then found it on Missguided Germany finally - What a procedure but every second of it was worth it!๐Ÿ˜… When I saw it on the website I just thought it's the perfect summer dress and since I'm obsessed with maxi dresses, it was just a MUST! Also, I saw myself walking along the beach with his gorgeous dress blowing in the wind on my next holiday, haha. Stay tuned where I'm traveling to!
Now guys, you can call me crazy but you might have noticed that I got the exact same dress in nude and blue as well๐Ÿ™ˆ Don't judge me! Lol! I just think you can't go wrong with this type of dress as it is suitable for every type of occasion and you can dress it down with sandals for a casual chic day look and you can wear it with heels for dinner or drinks. Also, I think it is quite reasonable for a dress like this, the quality is good and it's not a dress you only wear once even though it is quite a statement piece.
I hope you liked this post and I've a got the link to the dress and
a few more pictures down below for you.

Yellow Lace Dress || Marbella

I've been wanting to share this dress with you guys for a while now but there just wasn't the right occasion until my spontaneous trip to Marbella last month. The dress came out last year actually and I've been wanting it ever since I saw it but sometimes I just feel like River Island are going a little overboard with their prices, that's why I left it until I saw it on Asos sale some months ago. Yay! I usually buy when I see something as I'm always scared it's gonna be sold out, but I guess patience paid off this time. I can't really remember how much the original price was for this dress but I believe it was around £70 and I bought it for £36 on Asos. Unfortunately, it's sold out now but I linked a similar one below for you guys.

FLOWER POWER

How can one not love this dress? It ticks all the boxes for me: Flower print, off shoulder, ruffled sleeves & midi lengths! What more can I wish for really?! I bought this dress from SHEIN after watching Patricia Bright's youtube review about them. There were some good and some bad items she bought but I just wanted to see for myself and bought a few items, including this dress. It rather looks like a Zara dress and that's what I liked about the look. I'm absolutely loving the dress, it fits perfectly and it's not see-through, which happens a lot with white/nude coloured clothing. I have to admit, the quality is not the very best but I don't feel uncomfortable wearing it either, so I guess it's fine, especially when it only costs £22. It is well worth the money, believe me.
You can find the dress HERE

3 Things to do in Cรณrdoba

I know it's been a while but I've just not been feeling like writing blog posts to be honest. Life gets busy and I just couldn't get my head around it. I took a weekend off to get back on track and I feel like it was much needed. I'm back with a travel blog post for you guys though! YAY! I took a trip down to Spain to visit my friend in Marbella and we took a day trip to Cรณrdoba, which is located in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. It's amazing how one single building makes the whole world want to visit this city! Speaking of, let me get started on the 3 things to do in Cรณrdoba:

1. Mezquita in Cรณrdoba

Visit the mesmerising multiarched Mezquita, which is one of the world's greatest islamic buildings. I wasn't that impressed with the outside of the mosque but as soon as I stepped in, I was impressed with the archtiecture and beautiful detailing all around the walls. It's defnitely worth a trip for every traveler! Cรณrdoba is about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Marbella and quite easy to reach.

2. El Rincรณn de Carmen

While walking through the streets of Cordรณba, the narrow streets of the Juderรญa (Jewish quater) and Muslim quater, we found this beautifully decorated open space restaurant which serves typical local dishes such as the famous Salmorejo de Cordรณba, a creamy cold tomato soup topped with boiled eggs and iberian ham or salty prosciutto (picture below), Rabo de toro and Flamenquรญn. The food and service was amazing and let me not start on the super cute decoration. I would recommend to anyone to check this little gem out when you visit the city for a typical andalusian experience.

3. Puente Romano de Cordรณba

One of the landmarks in Cordรณba is the long bridge right in front of the Mezquita located in the histroric centre. You have a stunning view on the city from the bridge and for all the game of thrones fans, yes, this is the bridge where they filmed part of it. I'm not a fan but everyone seems to be besides me, so I might as well mention it.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour guide!

The floral Blazer I've been dreaming of...

Do you know the feeling when you go into the shop and you know you can't live without this piece of clothing? That's how I felt about this floral blazer... Not that life wouldn't go on, lol, but I've been wanting a jacket like that for a good while and I actually wanted it in combination with the matching trousers but in this case I just didn't like the trousers so I just went for the blazer. Question number one was: What do I wear it with? It couldn't have been easier in this case to be honest. All the black clothing I wear on a daily basis which make probably 70% of my wardrobe go perfectly with a colourful blazer. Black dresses, black skirts, black trousers, black shorts, anything you can think of really... I feel like I'm going to wear this blazer as much as I can and y'all are going to hate seeing it on my IG over and over again just like my ripped denim jacket๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sorry not sorry!

I wore this blazer to the We Love Brunch event at the Mondrian Hotel - Rumpus room, which is an amazing hotel and their interior design is on point! It was a day party so it was a bit difficult to decide between that typical dress or mix things up a little. On my way there I felt a little overdressed but as soon as I got there I fit in perfectly. I was actually going to wear the blazer buttoned up without anything underneath but I felt a little naked so I chose a lace Bralet I hadn't worn in years and it just completed the whole look. As I said, you can dress it up or down, there are not limits as the blazer is quite a flexible piece considering that it's very colourful. I'm obsessed with it and you'll see me wearing it loads more.

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend!๐Ÿ’‹

Spring is Blooming with Jord | Giveaway

I've been updating my spring wardrobe as announced in the past blog post and I haven't only bought clothes, this time I was going for accessories, too. Sometimes I just forget how important a change of a bag or a watch in my case was. I'm sure everyone has seen my little blue Zara bag on almost every Instagram picture now๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜… That's why I invested in the gorgeous Michael Kors bag you've probably already seen on my feed. I literally walked past the shop window for 2-3 weeks before I bought it and stared at it, haha. I just fell in love with this cute bag and I don't regret my decision of buying it.

When it comes to jewellery, I have my standard pieces I wear on a daily basis, like my watch, bracelet, necklace and earrings I bought/ was gifted a while ago and as they're meaningful pieces I don't like changing them much.

Recently I was gifted this beautiful timepiece from Jord Wood Watches and I can't believe how perfectly it matches into my new wardrobe with its finely grained golden Koa wood and rose gold tones from the Cora series. The great thing is that it's an automatic watch and I never had one before. Not only the rose gold got me but the back of it where you can see how the watch actually works is super interesting! Besides that, the natural Koa is hand finished and pretreated with tung oil. It's just an amazing piece and thinking that it was hand finished amazes me even more.

To give my readers a chance of having one of their beautiful watches, I teamed up with Jord for a
GIVEAWAY!!! Here's the opportunity for one of you guys to win $100 gift code to use on their website but everyone who enters will receive a $25 code once the contest ends. It's a win win!
Enter HERE! The Giveaway will close on the 07/05/2017 at 11:59pm.

DIY JUMPSUIT

I know you guys are probably laughing at the title of my blog post because God knows I'm terrible at DIY's or anything that concerns creating or designing. Haha, anyways! I was actually looking for a culotte pants jumpsuit in black when I remembered that I do have a black jumpsuit but just with long legs. So instead of being the typical me and buying a new one (trying to be better every day lol) I recycled this jumpsuit from Zara's last year summer collection and cut off the legs. Yes I cut off the legs, you read correctly! LOL. I've had this jumpsuit for quite a while now and I was kinda getting bored of the long legs, so yeah, why not!? The material is quite thin, so when cutting something be sure that it won't roll up or frazzle.

I was going for a a chic monochrome look and paired the ribbed jumpsuit with a white ruffle shirt. I'm literally obsessed with ruffles right now, sooo loving this new trend as it's so feminine! I completed the look with sandal heels and a matching bag. This is basically how I transformed an old jumpsuit into a new piece in my wardrobe and I'm much happier about the 3/4 length as it doesn't make me look too short.

I hope this post gave you some inspiration to recycle some of your wardrobe pieces.

Drea xo

Last Minute Holiday Gift Guide - Edition 2016

One week until Christmas and I'm in the same situation as last year, the year before and the year before, lol. Last minute Christmas shopping kind of became a ritual. My problem is, when I think of gifts early then I tend to go overboard and try to buy expensive stuff even though it's not necessary to spend my entire salary on gifts and end up broke, lol. Not that my loved ones don't deserve it but you can make someone happy with some simple flowers, a card or just a visit. Nonetheless, if you are Christmas shoppers, I do have a last minute gift guide - which is secretly my wish list - for you. I put a lot of thought in these gifts and some of them I personally been wanting for some time, are really needed or will just come in practical.
